As mentioned back in the 70’s is where I met Shirley and worked for a Tuxedo company. I was there for almost 20 years. Then when the 80’s came, I was very interested in all the music that came out so I became a DJ and played many weddings and Christmas parties. I was basically a Rock/Dance DJ then I got a job at a club and was playing Rock music, but every once in a while, someone would come up and ask for a Country song and I’d try to find one. Then one night my best friends Rod and Dale to this day asked if we wanted to go to a dance. Well when we got there it was a big barn dance with the one and only ROCKIN RONNIE HAWKINS. I have seen Ronnie many times over the years and there can be 50 people or 10,000 people and Ronnie will always put on the best show ever. He never lets anyone down and always was a true Gentleman. Ronnie was also a guest at one of our award shows and I was lucky enough to sit with him threw out the night and have a great Chat. Believe me when I say he is one of a kind and was an icon in the History of Music. Also That Night his Son Robin Hawkins was there performing for us at the award show and did a Fantastic Job. Well what a night!! with Ronnie Hawkins at that Barn Dance. We ended up meeting a couple that taught Line Dancing and Two Stepping. There name were Gord and Georgina Cooke. We all fell in love with it. So, we ended up finding out where they were teaching, and we followed that couple around for years and years to come and I became their personal DJ and played everywhere. Because I knew how to Two Step and Line Dance from Gord and Georgina it was easy for me when I got any new song what dance to put with it. I just had to listen to the beat of it. So it would either be a Two-Step, Waltz, Cha-Cha, Sway or a Line Dance.
