Mavis Restaurant and Bar  

All of a sudden, the teachers started showing up. Well I had no choice other than to play country which I did, but had very little Country.   It became a blast and people started coming and before I knew it, we had a Country Friday Nights. Now as you know, I had no COUNTRY CD’s so one day while working at the Tuxedo place I saw a few people from record companies come in for Tuxedos for the JUNO’S.  I thought “wow” this is my chance to ask for Country CD’s. To my luck NEW COUNTRY was just starting out and they were more than pleased to look after me. They were even nice enough to hook me on to other record labels. So here I was getting CD’s like every Radio Station was getting. Everything from Country to Dance, Rock, Alternative, Hip–hop. every song that came out I got. Well that just blew the Dance instructors away and we started getting gigs together with me DJing and them teaching. People were showing up more and more every week at The MAVIS and other Bars.

A few people over the years that were regulars went on to be in the Music or Dance Business.

Rockin Rod who became and Rock DJ and then I got him into Country and Now is a Country DJ on Country 105.

Melissa Forsyth who is The Morning announcer on KX 94.7 

Cathy Montgomery who teaches Dancing.

ALL of them are still are Still involved with Country Music and all are Still friends and Actually Rod has been my best friend for Over 30 Years.
